Robert Talevski - Investment Management Professional
Robert Talevski is an accomplished investment management professional with nearly 30 years of experience in investment management and advisory activities across large Australian superannuation funds and institutional investors.
In addition to being the Managing Director of Activam Group, his responsibilities within the firm encompass heading up the investment management team, whereby he is responsible for a wide range of investment activities, which include asset allocation strategy, investment manager recommendations, and the portfolio construction process. Additionally, he is responsible for addressing clients’ queries concerning investment-related matters.
Robert founded Activam to support and enhance Wealth Practices’ value proposition by fostering meaningful high-touch partnerships. He believes an effective investment management structure delivers alpha through multiple sources, such as asset allocation, investment manager selection, and currency management.
Before establishing Activam, Robert founded Brightstone Capital Advisors, a firm that provided investment advisory services to Australian superannuation, institutional and high-net-worth investors. Preceding that, he managed the $3 billion Global Private Markets and $5 billion Global Shares portfolios at Australia's largest corporate superannuation fund.
Robert has also worked as an Investment Consultant at Australia’s largest asset consultant, providing investment advice to large industry and corporate super funds, charities, and private wealth clients totaling $50 billion.
His experience includes time in London with INVESCO, IMS (Investment Manager Selection), and Threadneedle Investments.
He has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Law) from Victoria University and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance & Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA).
Aside from being a multi-asset portfolio manager, Robert champions Autism related charities and causes. He was also a Board Member of the Autism Behavioural Intervention Association.
